Play Therapy
Play therapy is a type of expressive therapy that has
proven to be beneficial to individuals and families.
Although it can be utilized with all ages, it is
especially useful for young children who do not have the
cognitive development for traditional talk therapy.
Play
therapy has been shown to be effective in treating a
wide range of presenting problems including: depression,
anxiety, PTSD, conduct disorder, aggression, ADHD,
impulsivity, low self-concept, reading difficulties, and
social withdrawal. It can also help children cope with a
variety of life stressors such as: divorce, death,
relocation, physical/sexual/emotional abuse, and
domestic violence. For more information on play therapy
